How it works

1. Design your portal

Pick your logo, colors and login method (SMS, voucher, hotel) from the dashboard.

2. Connect to RADIUS

Meraki Dashboard → Network-wide / Access Control: SSID Splash page = 'Sign-on with my RADIUS server', RADIUS server = Captivo. Add Meraki as a NAS client in Captivo.

3. Upload the splash page

Download the Cisco Meraki HTML from Settings → Portal → Templates and upload it in Meraki Dashboard → SSID → Splash page → custom/themed splash.

4. Go live

When a guest connects your branded splash page opens, verifies them and grants internet — records are kept for compliance.

Why Captivo + Cisco Meraki?

  • External captive portal (EXCAP) via cloud-managed Meraki Dashboard
  • Per-SSID branded splash page across multi-location networks
  • Captivo auth with "Sign-on with my RADIUS server"
  • SMS, voucher and hotel (room-no) login; compliant logging

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Captivo work with Cisco Meraki?

On your Meraki SSID you set the Splash page to 'Sign-on with my RADIUS server' and define Captivo as the RADIUS server. You download the Cisco Meraki HTML from Settings → Portal → Templates and upload it to the Meraki Dashboard as a custom/themed splash. The guest submits username/password from that page; Meraki authenticates them against Captivo RADIUS — no extra hardware or agent required.

Is Cisco Meraki support production-ready?

Cisco Meraki integration shares the same RADIUS infrastructure as pfSense/OPNsense/MikroTik. You can get started by following the setup steps; email support@captivo.io if you have any questions.

Any difference vs pfSense/OPNsense?

The guest experience and features are the same (SMS, voucher, hotel login, compliant logging). The difference is how the login page connects to the network: for Cisco Meraki the splash page is uploaded to the Meraki Dashboard and the form posts username/password, which Meraki authenticates against Captivo RADIUS.
